Dramatic Arts bio

Laurel Wetzork has worked, as have many people in the film industry, in many different positions.  She graduated from USC's film school with highest honors; has done work as a producer, director, editor, writer, art director, casting associate, set designer, props department, sound crew, grip crew, and more.  During and after film school she's worked with:  Tim Story (Barbershop), Guy Livneh, Elena Song, Lyse BeckDebbie Bolsky, Erika Gieshen, Robert Kral, and others.  She moved to Santa Barbara after graduating from USC with a B.A., to help take care of a family member, and continued to commute to Los Angeles and work on various projects, including her SAG experimental film Rogues.  She and her husband moved to Los Angeles in March 2012.  Laurel is working toward a graduate degree in USC's Master of Professional Writing Program.  When time allows, Laurel also volunteers with several non-profit theater and film-related groups in the Los Angeles area, such as the Scriptwriters Network (when she has time), and LAFPI (Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative).
