Laurel comes from a family of artists and has been drawing and painting since she was a young child. Her work has been commissioned and is in various private collections. She's currently taking a break from painting, but here's information about her and her work.
The majority of her landscape paintings are created en plein air. En plein air is a French expression which means "in the open air," and is particularly used to describe the act of painting in the outside environment. Many artists feel this painting technique is the only way to truly capture the beauty and colors of landscapes. Laurel has studied under famous master artist Albert Handell.
